How to Close Running Apps on Android Phones and Tablets
Are you experiencing a quick drainage of your Android phone or tablet’s battery power? If your answer is “YES”, then certain apps running in the background of your Android device may be the reason for this power drainage. When we press the back button of our device to close an app, most apps don’t close at all and they remain active in the background. These running apps still drain a considerable amount of battery power.
To prevent these apps from decreasing the battery lifetime on your Android tablet or the phone, then here is how you can close the apps that are running in background of your device silently.
How to Close Running Apps
If your device has a “Recent Apps” button (the most right one) on home screen, then just tap that button. Tapping this button will bring up the list of all apps that are currently running. Now swipe each app to the right of the screen and it will close.
If you can’t see a button to tap on your device, then you need to long press the home key (physical one) of your device until the active apps’ list comes up. In most Samsung devices, that UI button is missing and you need to long press the physical home key to open running apps’ list.
